Engineering Blue Book is a supplier/consultant directory, not a firm. Publisher contact: 901 34th Avenue North #7064, St. Petersburg FL 33734 (adsupport@associationmediagroup.com, 804-469-8790); Canadian office 5000 Yonge Street, Suite 701, North York M2N 7E9, 1-866-763-1654. Listings carry name, address, phone and a blurb. There is no email published per listing — which means contact is by phone or the site's own contact form, not by cold email.
Scale of the directory (category counts from the site's own listing index): - Durable Manufacturing 618 · Engineering 201 · Recruiters 149 · Non-Durable Manufacturing 100 · Public Sector 88 · Non-profit 69 · Service Providers 56 · Education 49 · Test & Measurement 28 · Heavy Manufacturing 7 - Under "Engineering": Industrial (292 under Durable), Mechanical 40, Design 28, Energy 25, Oil & Petroleum 24, Transportation 24, Automotive 21, Aerospace 21, Mining 19, Automation/Controls 16, Electrical 17, Healthcare 15, Security Systems 6, Nuclear 5
The "General Engineering" bucket is almost entirely executive search / recruitment firms — Heidrick & Struggles, Ian Martin, TSC Group, HCR Permanent Search, PHM Search, EnerSearch, HR-Fusion, Drakkar, Future Executive Personnel. That is 149 of the ~500 Ontario entries. If the intent was to reach engineering companies, the General Engineering list is the wrong list; it's recruiters who would want to place people with you, not hire you.
The lists worth working for a CAD/CAE-consulting pitch are: Automation/Controls (16), Mechanical (40), Design (28), Automotive (21), Energy (25), Mining (19), Transportation (24).

The sub-category pages (Automation/Controls, Mechanical, Design) return an access error to my fetcher — I could enumerate the category counts and the General/General-Engineering entries, but not page through all 201 engineering firms. So this is 11 verified contacts out of ~500, skewed toward the General buckets. Getting the rest needs either a browser session or the site's contact form for a directory export.
Hello — I'm Anjal Patel, P.Eng., of CADsmart (Mississauga). We provide CAD drafting, FEA/CFD simulation and engineering documentation support to manufacturers and consulting firms — overflow capacity, not headcount.
I'm reaching out because [firm] appears in Engineering Blue Book under [category]. Would you be open to a 15-minute call to see whether overflow CAD/CAE support is useful to you? If you'd rather, I can register CADsmart as a supplier through your standard vendor process.
Anjal Patel, P.Eng. — CADsmart — anjal@cadsmart.ca
Two things: (1) whether the goal is selling CADsmart services or something else (the task doesn't say), and (2) a way to pull the remaining listings — the sub-category pages are blocked to me, so a browser scroll or the site's export would be the input that turns 11 contacts into 200.
