Two hard rules from the listings: - 8GB DDR4 is the fastest mover. Single 16GB sticks sit — the same listing prices appear repeatedly across sellers. Bundling 2×8GB into a "16GB kit" sells better than two singles. - DDR3 is nearly worthless ($5–10/stick). Sell it as one lot, not per stick, or it will not move.
Loose sticks tested working → say "pulled from working system" and price at the top of the band. Untested or mixed brands → price at the bottom.
New-part benchmarks that set the ceiling for anything used: - Economy brake pads: $30–50 per axle; premium ceramic pads $80–120 per axle (Canadian parts pricing, bestparts.ca). - New pad + rotor kits for a 2020 Odyssey: USD $120–200 (Detroit Axle 8-pc $194.92, A-Premium front kit $131.35, TRQ rear set $117.84, PowerStop front K7670 $243.99). - Installed at a shop in Canada: $300–600 per axle including labour at $80–150/h.
Consequence: used pads and rotors have almost no resale value — a buyer can get new rotors for $60–90 each. Used take-offs are worth $20–40 for a set, at best, and usually don't sell at all. - New in box / never installed: ask 40–50% of the new retail price — e.g. a $130 front pad+rotor kit → ask $60. This is the only category worth listing individually. - Used with life left: list as a single lot with everything else, priced at $30–50 total, or scrap them. Do not post individual used rotors; they will sit and cost you messages.
Anything that isn't RAM or brakes should be priced by the same rule: look up the current new price on Amazon.ca, then ask 40–50% if new-in-box, 25–30% if used. If the item's new price is under $40, it isn't worth a listing.
